The Cineleisure Damansara Street Life Exposé, a street culture fest will take off from 2 to 11 February 2007. The fest will showcase many aspects of street culture to the youth and will be an avenue for youths to express themselves through a healthy and nurturing environment.

Floor combat
Floor Combat is a 3-on-3 B-Boy (Break Dance) tournament aimed at promoting hip hop as a healthy culture and providing a platform for Malaysian youths to express themselves through music and dance. Held on Feb 10 – 11, break dance teams or “crews” as they are know in BBoy terminology from around the country will burn up the dance floor and show off their B-Boy moves like Toprock, Footwork, Freeze and Power. The tournament is open to B-boys and B-girls aged above 18 who are absolutely devoted to hip hop culture.

There will be a special Practice Round held on February 3, where all participating crews will receive a goody bag including a pair of Cathay Damansara movie tickets. Prizes for the winning teams include cash and NOKIA mobile phones worth more than RM 10,000. The top three teams also get to represent Malaysia to take part in NOKIA Floor Skillz Asia Singapore in March 2007.

Street Fashion
Another highlight of the festival is a fashion extravaganza showcasing the latest and trendiest street wear. Styles will be put together by a prominent street wear expert, Timothy Chong from Kidultz. Different street styles from around the world will also be featured. The fashion extravaganza will be supported by exclusive micro retail outlets at the Level 1 of Cineleisure Damansara.

Show off your own style and get rewarded for it! There will be a resident street fashion expert on the prowl for fashion savvy shoppers. Get spotted and get rewarded instantly!

Kicks / Shirts Kustomizing Contest
In conjunction with the festival, Cineleisure Damansara will also be organizing a shoe and t-shirt customization competition called Kicks / Shirts Kustomizing Competition. A major workshop area that can cater to more than 150 people at any one time will be set up for participants to work on their masterpieces. There will also be a display area where participants’ work will be showcased to the public. Designers with the most creative customized show and T-shirt design will walk away with attractive cash prizes. The competition is set to run from 3 - 4 February 2007 with the finals on 10 February 2007. Interested participants should pre-register themselves as there are limited places available.
