On the 10th of June, Cathay Cineplex Damansara organized the 'Speed Challenge' event to celebrate the release of The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. The one-day event kicked off in the early morning with a queue of more than 150 participants to come and 'show-off' their driving skills. Their goal was to stand a chance to win prizes worth RM1,000 by putting their driving skills to the test in an interactive game.

It wasn't an easy task as each participant had only 1 chance to prove their worth and the challengers with the highest points advanced to the next stage. It wasn't a bad day for those who did not make the cut as they were all awarded with a Digi goodie bag with premiums from The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift.

After the first stage, the 10 finalists then advanced to the next stage where they had to compete for the winning titles. 3 winners was announced as the highest points achiever for the 'Speed Challenge'. The Grand prize went to Mr. Darren Ow, who walked away with a Kenneth Cole watch worth RM900 and a Wrigley's hamper worth RM100. The 2nd prize winner, Mr.Chew Zhong Ling and 3rd prize winner, Mr.Nor Iskandar Abdul Majid walked away with Kenneth Cole watches worth RM700 and RM500 respectively and also other attractive prizes. Apart from that, the rest of the 7 participants were awarded with consolation prizes from Wrigley's worth RM100 each.
