PETALING JAYA, 18 OCTOBER 2006 - ‘Glitz of Halloween’ held together by Cineleisure Damansara and Cathay Cineplex Damansara, attracted numerous ghouls and phantoms to the event. Fans attired in their most horrific costume gathered around to play merry and win some exciting prizes home. Joining in the foray are members of the media dressing up in their best costume.
Before the games begun, guests are invited to enjoy the delicious spread at the buffet table with dishes such as sushi, sashimi and pastries. The foods are sponsored by ‘Genki Sushi’ & ‘Kopi O’ restaurant from Cineleisure Damansara.
The fun begun, with the emcee dividing the guests into 3 different teams to participate in the games. The teams are known as Banshee, Phantoms and Ghouls. The first game ‘The Trick or Treat’ required each team to gather as many candies as possible around the building. Bonus gifts were given to the teams whom managed to locate a 250 gram Loacker-Kokao biscuits. The Banshee team won exciting prizes such as RM400 cash, Pro-Eyes sunglasses, DFO vouchers and The Grudge 2 Limited Edition T-shirts.
On the second game, individual teams are invited to bring their partners on the stage to play ‘Glamorous Ghouls’. In this game, teams are required to be creative, as they need to dress their partners with newspapers, color feathers and papers. Following suit the teams would have to do a killer pose on the stage. Amidst the cheers and applause of the crowd the teams strut their pose down the runway. Winners of ‘Glamorous Ghouls’ walked away with Air Asia vouchers, RM200 cash prize, Pro-Eyes sunglasses, DFO vouchers and The Grudge 2 Limited Edition T-shirts
The final game of the evening ‘Impersonation’ requires each team member to act out a scene from a selection of horror movie. Some of the impersonation includes giving an applauding Grammy Award speech for being the best devil in hell and seeking a rich husband by using black magic. The 2 teams to win this game will be in the running for the following title ‘King & Queen of Glitz of Halloween’ & ‘Most gruesome attire’. Winners of these titles walked away with Air Asia vouhers, RM700 cash prize, play station 2, Follow Me products, Pro-Eyes sunglasses & lots more.
The evening ended with a special screening of The Grudge 2 at Cathay Cineplex Damansara. “The Grudge 2” is set for release on October 13 and is exclusively distributed by Cathay- Keris Films.

About GLiTZ of HALLOWEEN at Cineleisure Damansara
Halloween comes early this year as Cineleisure Damansara, together with Cathay Cineplex Damansara, is organizing a first of its kind event, GLiTZ of HALLOWEEN Contest from 12 September 2006 to 8 October 2006.
At the finale of the contest on 14 October, is a Halloween Party and special screening of The Grudge 2.

GLiTZ of HALLOWEEN Contest is a joint effort by Cineleisure Damansara and Cathay Cineplex Damansara. This is one of the many activities, which will be organized at Cineleisure Damansara to create a vibrant ambience for patron’s entertainment and enjoyment. For the duration of the promotion, Cineleisure Damansara will be enveloped in the Halloween theme. Halloween really wouldn’t be complete with a ghoul or two….so be prepared for monster sightings, phantom specters and more.
