200 Teams Sweat It Out in the SUPERMAN RETURNS Ultimate Trials
Kuala Lumpur, June 26, 2006. In conjunction with the upcoming release of SUPERMAN RETURNS™, leading youth marketing agency, Mypartners Communications yesterday organized the SUPERMAN RETURNS™ Ultimate Trials event at Cineleisure Damansara.
The one-day event event attracted over 200 teams where they had to go through a series of physical challenges in and around the newly opened Cineleisure Damansara. Participants were lining up as early as 6:00am in the morning to register for the event where they had a chance of winning RM 10,000 worth of prizes.
SUPERMAN™ Ultimate Trials was mainly broken into two key components: "The Kr Trials" and "The Journey of Redemption". "The Kr Trials" involved the 200 teams hunting down mock-Kryptonite with the aim of destroying the material. The 80 teams that survived the "The Kr Trials" then progressed to the "The Journey of Redemption" which involved them going though a series of tasks to rescue their female partners. Many of the tasks involved interesting props and set-ups like the "Kr Neutralisation Chamber", "The Maze" and "The Cave". Participants progressed through to each round via a "the best survives" elimination process.
The final challenge was the most thrilling as three (3) final teams had go through the ultimate task of pushing a SUPERMAN RETURNS™ vehicle. The first team that crossed the finishing line was declared the winner.
The Grand prize winning team made up of Mr. Idzafar Omar and Ms. Norhaizah Abu Bakar walked away with air tickets worth RM 2,500 and RM 1,000 cash as well as SUPERMAN RETURNSTM premiums and a 3-month membership from Fitness First. The 2nd prize winner, Mr. Tan Yew Sum and Ms. Tan Woon Chen and 3rd prize winners Mr. Ak Mal Hafiz B. Ahmad Fuad and Ms. Farah Pak Wan Chik walked away with RM 800 and RM 500 respectively and other attractive prizes.
SUPERMAN RETURNS™ Ultimate Trials is part of Cineleisure Damansara's mall theming campaign to celebrate the return of one of the world's most beloved Super Heroes to the big screen. The mall theming campaign involves the fitting of some exciting SUPERMAN RETURNS™ large format visuals, banners and props like the SUPERMAN RETURNS™ Revolving Door.

All participating teams received a SUPERMAN RETURNS™ Ultimate Trials Power Pack while the first 100 teams who registered received a pair of exclusive invitations to a Special Screening of SUPERMAN RETURNS™ to be held on July 2, 2006 at Cathay Cineplex Damansara.
