Ou Gao is a musician who has a limp. One day, while trying to stop a fight, Ou rescues Caizi, a member of a street gang. He discovers that she possesses artistic talent and decides to coach her in song and dance. Caizi's brother is killed by Grey Hair when he warns Grey Hair to stay off Caizi. Other members of the street gang decide to start a new life by joining Ou's class. The class is practising to participate in a singing contest. On the night of the contest, Grey Hair appears and attacks Ou.
